A nine-year Montessori public elementary school program serving students ages 3 through 6th grade within the Kansas City Public Schools.
The mission of Border Star Montessori School is to prepare the learner for life. In a desegregated educational and social environment each child will be encouraged to become a self-motivated learner and develop qualities of order, concentration, coordination and independence.
Border Star is one of only two Montessori schools in the Kansas City metro area currently affiliated with AMI-USA. AMI-USA is an organization responsible for maintaining Maria Montessori’s pedagogical standards.
