Border Star Families Come Together to Help

A Border Star family has suffered the devastating loss of their home due to a fire.

Sixth grader Trashona Erby and third grader DeShawn Lockridge have been at our school since they were P3′s.  The Lockridges, including extended family members, have participated in various school-wide activities and programs, supporting the Border Star community.

This family is now in need of support from their Border Star family.  The Lockridge family is in immediate need for basic necessities like clothing, bedding (particularly blankets), food and toiletries.  Money is also needed.  Gift cards to Price Chopper, Target or WalMart would be extremely helpful.

The elementary children are discussing in class how to help, so parents, be sure to include your children in this important life lesson in how to give aid selflessly.

Please consider how you can help this family rebuild their home.

Contact Elizabeth Oberle at efranklin@kcmsd.net or czarinatou@yahoo.com for more information.
